About Aidan Kelly

American neo-pagan writer who formed the New Reformed Orthodox Order of the Golden Dawn and the Covenant of the Goddess in the 1960s. He was a major figure in the Wiccan community.


He attended the University of California, Berkeley and later, San Francisco State University.


He wrote and published the memoir Hippie Commie Beatnik Witches: A History of the Craft in California 1967-77, in 1978.
