Most famous for his autobiographical novel Shattered Lives: In the Pearl of Africa, Somani is also known as the founder of a publishing, property, and investments corporation known as the APHS Group.


After earning a bachelor s degree and a doctorate from Liverpool John Moores University, he completed a tour of duty with the British Army and went on to work as a civil servant.


He served as Chief Executive Officer of a business known as the Lifestyle Discount Club.
