About Billy Gillispie

Basketball coach who had a very successful run at Texas A&M, winning Big 12 Coach of the Year in 2005 and 2007; served as head coach at the University of Kentucky from 2007 to 2009 then spent the 2011-12 season coaching Texas Tech.


He played basketball at Graford High School and Ranger College.


He led UTEP to a WAC Regular Season Championship in 2004.
