About Brenda Castillo

Professional volleyball player who is known for playing as a libero as part of the Genter Volei Bauru club as well as the Dominican Republic national team. She has played in several Pan-American and Central American championships as well as Olympic games. 


She first started playing volleyball at 10 when she joined the Siglo XXI club. She then joined the senior national team in 2007. The following year, she won the gold medal at the 2008 Pan-American Games in Mexicali and Tijuana. 


She won the Best Libero award at the 2012 Summer Olympic games for her work with the Dominican Republic national team.

She was born and raised in Haina, San Cristobal and married Julio Enrique de los Santos.
