About Byron White

Football player who later became a lawyer and the first Supreme Court Justice from Colorado. He was nicknamed Whizzer.

Early Life of Byron White

He was the student body president at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

He played football for the Pittsburgh Pirates (later known as the Steelers) in 1938, then for the Detroit Lions from 1940 until 1941. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1954.
