American rapper and actor who was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of 16-year-old fan Steve Thomas. Prior to his incarceration, he was known for albums like his Platinum-selling debut, 1998 s Life or Death.
He was born in New Orleans and got his start as a guest rapper on various releases from No Limit Records, including Down South Hustlers: Bouncin and Swingin .
He has written several novels from inside prison, including Death Around the Corner and Bound By Loyalty.
