About Dale Hennesy

Academy Award-winning production designer known for his work on such 1960s and ’70s science fiction films as Fantastic Voyage and Logan’s Run.

Early life

He began his film production career in 1963 and continued his involvement in movies until his death in 1981.


He was nominated for Academy Awards in 1976 and 1982 for, respectively, Logan’s Run and Annie. He won the Oscar for his work on the 1966 film Fantastic Voyage.
