About Nemo Gould

Notable for kinetic sculptures crafted out of found materials such as aluminum and wood and featuring science fiction-like creatures, Gould created such fanciful pieces as Cycloptopus, Mandolinsect, and Zip Synch.


After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Kansas City Art Institute, he completed his MFA at the University of California-Berkeley.


He was named a 2007 Artist-in-Residence at the San Francisco Bay Area s Recology Solid Waste Transfer and Recycling Center.


Nemo Gould

He was born in Minnesota and raised in Nevada City, California, by artist parents named Arthur Gould and Linda Webb Elfert. He and his wife Nancy Leung eventually settled in Oakland, California.


Nemo Gould

He is a contemporary of fellow California sculptor Tom Tsuchiya.
