About Maureen O Hara

Irish-American actress best known for starring alongside John Wayne in 1952 s The Quiet Man and for her portrayal of Doris Walker in 1947 s Miracle on 34th Street. She also played Esmeralda in the 1939 film adaptation of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.


She worked as a bookkeeper and typist before earning her first acting roles.


Her autobiography, Tis Herself, was released in 2004.

She was married three times: to film producer George H. Brown, director Will Price, and Air Force aviator Charles F. Blair Jr. Blair was her longest marriage, from 1968 until his death in 1978. She briefly dated Mexican politician Enrique Parra. She raised a daughter named Bronwyn FitzSimons.
