About Chris van Heerden

South African professional boxer known for his Southpaw style of fighting. He competes within the Welterweight category and often fights under the nickname The Heat. 


He first started his professional career in 2006. After winning several national African titles and ABU welterweight titles, he gained attention in 2013 when he chose to relocate to the United States. 


He is known for having won the International Boxing Organization s championship title in 2009 within the welterweight category.
