About Dale Brown

Between 1987 and 2014, this prolific author published over thirty novels, including thirteen New York Times bestsellers. Many of his works — including Flight of the Old Dog, The Tin Man, and Air Battle Force — focus on the adventures of a United States Air Force officer protagonist named Patrick McLanahan.

Early Life of Dale Brown

After earning a history degree from Pennsylvania State University, he became a United States Air Force Weapon Systems Officer. His military service earned him both a Combat Crew Award and an Air Force Commendation Medal.

Beginning in 2001, he collaborated with fellow author Jim DeFelice on the Dreamland series of books.
