About Dave Lovering

Drummer and magician who worked with the alternative rock band Pixies, beginning in 1986. He has also worked with groups including The Martinis.


His three life ambitions, listed in his high school yearbook, were to become an electrical engineer, to join a rock band, and to go on tour with his favorite band, Rush.


He went by the moniker The Scientific Phenomenalist for his magic act, which featured scientific and physics-based experiments.
