About David Chang

Famous as a chef of New American cuisine, Chang founded the Momofuku restaurant group and opened Michelin star-rated restaurants in New York, U.S.A.; Sydney, Australia; and Toronto, Canada. He is also known for his appearances on Top Chef: All Stars, MasterChef Australia, and The Mind of a Chef.


Before beginning his training at New York City s French Culinary Institute, he studied religion at Trinity College in Connecticut.


His first restaurant, Momofuku Noodle Bar, opened in New York s East Village in 2004.
