About Eddie Sutton

Hall of Fame basketball coach rose to become part of an exclusive group of NCAA basketball coaches to record over 800 games; had his most successful runs as coach of Arkansas from 1974 to 1985, Kentucky from 1985 to 1989 and Oklahoma State from 1990 to 2006.


He played basketball at Oklahoma State.


He was a two-time AP National Coach of the Year, in 1978 with Arkansas and in 1986 with Kentucky.

He raised three sons named Sean, Scott, and Steve. Sean served as head coach of Oklahoma State after Eddie stepped down.
