About Bill Viola
This acclaimed multimedia artist is most famous for his human consciousness-themed video art pieces. His best known works include The Quintet Series, The Tristan Project, and An Ocean Without a Shore.
After earning a B.F.A. degree in Art from Syracuse University, he secured a tech position at Syracuse s Everson Museum of Art.
His numerous honors include a 1984 Polaroid Video Art Award and a 1989 John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation Award.
