After winning the 2003 El Modelo Mexico competition and subsequently earning a finalist spot in the Mister World pageant, Resendez built a career as a soap opera actor, playing starring roles in such telenovelas as Camaleones, Los Herederos del Monte, Corazon Valiente, and Senora Acero.


He began his rise to fame after appearing on the 2003 season of the Latin American version of Big Brother.


In 2013, he starred as Pedro Perez on the Telemundo telenovela Dama y Obrero.
