About Max Franz

Austrian professional alpine ski racer who is known for competing in the Downhill and Super-G events. He is also known for having won the bronze medal at the 2017 World Championships in St. Moritz in the Downhill category. 


With a passion for the sport early on, he made his World Cup debut in November of 2009 at Lake Louise, Canada. In November of 2012, he made his first World Cup podium also as Lake Louise, Canada. 


He won his first World Cup race in Val Gardena in the downhill event in 2017.

He is the cousin of fellow professional alpine skier Werner Franz.
