About Phil Gingrey

Republican politician rose to become the U.S. Representative for Georgia s 11th congressional district in 2003. He became an official candidate in the 2014 race for Georgia s position in the U.S. Senate.


He received a bachelor s degree in Chemistry from Georgia Tech in 1965, and attended Medical College of Georgia before working as an obstetrician.


He is a founding member of the GOP Doctors Caucus, a group of health care providers in the House of Representatives.
