About Plas Johnson

Hard bop tenor saxophone player who was featured prominently in The Pink Panther Theme by Henry Mancini.


He and his brother formed the Johnson Brothers in New Orleans and he went on to live in Los Angeles as a full-time working musician.


He was a frequent contributor to Motown sessions, including for songs by Marvin Gaye, as well as the Supremes.
