Alpine skier who won two gold medals in the 1931 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, in the downhill and slalom, making her the first woman ever to do so.


She was nicknamed “Muffie” when she was a girl.


She won the slalom and combined titles in the 1933 Arlberg-Kandahar.
