About GG Allin

Punk rocker best known for his live performances featuring transgressive acts like coprophagia and self-mutilation.


He was a drummer for various bands. He was inspired by the British Invasion bands of the 1960s, such as The Beatles, Rolling Stones, and the Dave Clark 5.


He drew annual media attention by vowing to commit suicide each Halloween beginning in 1989, but he always ended up in prison on the fatal day. He eventually died of a heroin overdose in 1993.

He was born Jesus Christ Allin. He and his brother Pinky founded Little Sister s Date, his first band, while they were in their teens. He married Sandra Farrow in 1980, but the couple spanorced in 1986. He welcomed a daughter named Nico Ann Deneault in 1986 with his then-girlfriend Tracy Deneault.

His musical hero was Hank Williams, and he felt they were both from the same ilk: loners, addicts, and workaholics.
