Scientist and engineer who created color motion picture film and produced the film The Viking. His massive contributions to the film industry are commemorated on a star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood.


He attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and MIT.


He was the co-founder of The Technicolor Motion Picture Corporation, which pioneered a color motion picture process which was used in countless classic films from the 1920 s to the 1950 s.
