About Holly Black

American writer of children s fantasy novels, she is best known for penning the popular Spiderwick Chronicles book series. She is also the author of Doll Bones, a 2013 novel that was awarded the prestigious Newbery Medal.

Early Life of Holly Black

She earned a degree in English from The College of New Jersey in 1994. Before publishing her debut book, Tithe: A Modern Faerie Tale, in 2002, she worked as an editor of medical journals.
