About Iona Brown
Classical violinist and conductor who played with the Philharmonic and the Los Angles Chamber Orchestra, the latter of which she became the music director for in 1987.
Early Life of Iona Brown
She studied Music at the Salisbury Cathedral School.
She was named an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 1986; in 1991 the king of Norway named her a Knight of First Class Merit.

She was married to Bjorn Arnils, her second husband, at the time of her death.
