About Jandira Sassingui

Singer also known as Pearl rose to become a South African music sensation with singles like “Tens Sorte,” “Ninguém” and “Já Não Sou Criança.” Prior to her solo career, she was a member of the group Earth Girls. 


She and her family moved to Luanda because of the Angolan Civil War when she was 9 years old. She later studied law at the University of Pretoria. 


She won the KORA Award for Best Female Artist of Southern Africa in 2005.
