About Jerome Kersey
Small forward best remembered for his years as a member of the Portland Trail Blazers and San Antonio Spurs, winning the NBA title with the Spurs in 1999. He died unexpectedly of a pulmonary embolism caused by a blood clot in February 2015 at the age of 52.

He attended the Division II school Longwood College, where he set school records for points, rebounds, blocks and steals.
He came in second behind then-rookie Michael Jordan in the 1984 NBA Slam Dunk Contest.

He married his longtime girlfriend Teri in September 2013. He had a daughter named Kiara and a granddaughter named Harley Rae.
