About Joe McNally
Known for photography books such as Sketching Light and The Moment It Clicks, this American photographer is also famous for his more than two-decade career with National Geographic. In addition, while working for LIFE magazine, he published a famous photography series titled “Faces of Ground Zero — Portraits of the Heroes of September 11th.”
He earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Syracuse University.
He was a recipient of World Press Photo, Pictures of the Year International, and Alfred Eisenstaedt awards.
