About Joe Ross

Pitcher who was the 25th overall pick by the San Diego Padres in the 2011 MLB Draft. He was later traded to the Washington Nationals, with whom he made his MLB debut in 2015. He won the 2019 World Series as a member of the Nationals. 


He attended Bishop O Dowd High School and had an offer to play at UCLA, but went pro instead.


He broke the double-digit strikeout barrier in only his third career start, recording 11 punch-outs in a win against the Pirates.
