About John Caird

Principal Guest Director of the Royal Dramatic Theatre and director for the Royal National Theatre of Great Britain. He has directed plays by Shakespeare, Becket, and John Osborne.


In 1967, he studied acting at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.


He is co-founder of the Caird Company, which produces play festivals and puts on seminars to encourage young directors and writers.
