About John Kerry

Vietnam War veteran and the 2004 Democratic nominee for President who served Massachusetts as it s senator for nearly twenty years. He became the 68th US Secretary of State in 2013 and served until 2017. 


He briefly dated First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy s half sister, Janet Jennings Auchincloss.


He is the ninth cousin twice removed of George W. Bush, his 2004 opponent. Both of their families are descendants of Edmund Reade.
