About Jon Jang

Jazz artist who was an influential member of the Asian-American jazz movement. He was known for combining jazz and Asian music.


He obtained a B.M. degree in music performance from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in 1978.


His group the Jon Jang Sextet performed at the 1997 Beijing Jazz Festival.
