About Judy Trammell

Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader in the 1980s and head choreographer for the team, she is known for being on Country Music Television s reality television show Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team. She also choreographed for various music videos, television shows, beauty pageants, and music awards.


She attended R.L. Turner High School in Dallas, where she trained in jazz, pom, drill team, and tap dance. She became a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader in 1980 and was a show group member and group leader through 1984. In 1984 she was made assistant choreographer. She was made head choreographer in 1991.


Among many other events and artists, she has choreographed LeAnn Rimes, Destiny s Child, Carrie Underwood, MC Hammer, and the NBC Academy of Country and Western Music Awards.

She has lived in Garland, Texas. She married Dick Trammell. They had three children together, Blair, Taylor, and Cassie. Cassie was a successful competitive cheerleader and won two gold medals at the Allstar Cheerleading World Championships before becoming a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader.
