About Juozas Tumas-Vaizgantas

Lithuanian writer and Roman Catholic priest who helped to establish the Party of National Progress. His short fiction work, Sin at Easter and Other Stories, was translated into English by Danguole Sealey.


He studied at the Kaunas Seminary and was ordained as a priest in 1893.


His best-known literary works include Rays of Hope and Uncles and Aunts.
