About Khanh Ly

Popular singer in the 1960s who has performed numerous songs written by composer Trinh Cong Son.


She won a Saigon radio contest for children at age fourteen; by seventeen, she was appearing professionally in clubs around South Vietnam.


In the 1970s, she teamed up with numerous production companies including Phạm Mạnh Cương Program, Trường Sơn Centre, Sơn Ca Productions, and Hoạ Mi.

She was born in Hanoi, Vietnam. She married Minh Di and had two children with him. She later married Mai Ba Trac; they had one daughter together. In 1975, she married a third time to journalist Nguyen Hoang Doan.
