About Leigh Sales

Australian journalist, television host, and author who is known for her work on the ABC news affiliate 7.30. She is also known for hosting the Chat 10 Looks 3 podcast and for having written the books On Doubt and Detainee 002. 


She earned her Bachelor s degree from Queensland University of Technology in Journalism and her Masters in International Relations from Deakin University. She started her career with the Nine Network before joining ABC Brisbane in 1995. She gained attention after covering the 2000 Summer Olympics. 


She has earned several awards for her work in journalism including a Walkley Award for Broadcasting and Online Interviewing in 2012 and the George Munster Award for Independent Journalism for her work on Detainee 002 in 2007.
