About Leroi Moore
Founding member of Dave Matthews Band who not only played saxophone for the group, but also wrote songs like Stay (Wasting Time).
He attended James Madison University for saxophone and went on to perform with local jazz musicians before helping start Dave Matthews Band.
He was a multi-instrumentalist who played bass, baritone, tenor, alto, and soprano saxophones; the flute, bass clarinet, the wooden penny whistle, and the oboe.

He was to be married to his friend and fiancée Lisa Beane in November 2008 but passed away from pneumonia three months prior.
