About Lex Ishimoto

Professional dancer and choreographer who won season 14 of So You Think You Can Dance. He s toured with prestigious dance conventions such as NUVO, 24 Seven, Jump and The Pulse. He won Teen Male Dancer of the Year at the 2014 Dance Awards. 


He was first inspired to start dancing by his sister and has been trained in jazz, lyrical, tap, hip hop, ballet and contemporary styles.


He was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor at the Helen Hayes Awards for his role in Billy Elliot the Musical. He was also named Senior Grand Prix winner at the Los Angeles Youth America Grand Prix regionals.

He was born and raised in Irvine, California. He started a relationship with fellow SYTYCD competitor Taylor Sieve in 2016.
