About Lord Snowdon

Photographer who was married to England s Princess Margaret, Queen Elizabeth II s younger sister, from 1960 to 1978. In 1985, he received the Royal Photographic Society s Progress Medal.


He was a member of the championship team at Cambridge s 1950 Boat Race.


He is best known for his portraits of world notables, which often appeared in magazines such as Vogue and Vanity Fair and the National Portrait Gallery has more than 100 of his photographs in its collection.
