About Loren Brichter

Software developer and engineer known for creating the app Tweetie, which helped popularize the pull-to-refresh feature on touchscreen devices. He founded the app-creation company atebits.


He started programming when he was in middle school and continued to learn languages in high school. He then attended Tufts University, where he received a degree in electrical engineering.


He s spent time working for Apple and Twitter, to whom he sold Tweetie. He also helped introduced the sliding panel and vertical list icon features.
