About Luciano Ligabue

Italian singer and film director who burst onto the Italian rock scene with his solo debut Ligabue in 1990. He first branched out into film directing 1998 with the release of the drama Radiofreccia, which he also wrote.


He was a factory worker before joining the band Orazero in 1987. His songwriting talents were later discovered by Emilian singer Pierangelo Bertoli.


His song “Certe Nott” was voted as the top song of the 1990 s in a poll conducted by a major Italian music magazine.

He married Barbara Pozzo in 2013. He has children named Linda and Lenny.
