About Mark Nepo

Famous for his New York Times bestselling self-help work The Book of Awakening, Nepo is also notable for his 2012 book Seven Thousand Ways to Listen, as well as for his poetry collections Reduced to Joy and Inhabiting Wonder.


After earning his PhD in English, he began a two-decade teaching career at the State University of New York at Albany.


A lymphoma diagnosis in his thirties laid the foundation for Nepo s career as an inspirational author.
