About Marvi Sirmed

Pakistani journalist who is known for her work within Human Rights and Activism. She is known for working as a Special Correspondent for Daily Times as well as being an elected member of the Executive Council of Human Rights Commission of Pakistan. 


Her career as a journalist started in 1990 when she started publishing stories in Daily News, Daily Jang, and Khabrein. After completing her Master s degree in Science and Education from the University of Punjab, she started working with the Daily Times in 2016. 


In 2012, she was part of an assassination attempt which occurred during a roadside ambush in Pakistan.

She has differing political views than her two brothers Naveed and Nabeel who are both supporters of Imran Khan.
