Known for his work on the screenplays of such 1930s and 40s films as A Yank at Oxford and Alfred Hitchcock s Rebecca, this screenwriter also pursued a career as an actor, appearing in such 1930s films as Dance Pretty Lady and The Flag Lieutenant.
