Nicknamed “Second to Nunn”, he was a Lineal, IBF Middleweight Champion, and the KO magazine Fighter of the Year in 1988.


He represented the United States at the 165 lb. weight class during the 1984 Olympics.


He was sentenced to 24 years in prison for drug trafficking in 2004.
