About Monika Sanchez
Known for her performances in such Spanish-language telenovelas as Salomé, Apuesta por un amor, and Amores Verdaderos, this popular actress received a 2000 TVyNovelas Award for her antagonistic role in Laberintos de pasión.
After studying at Mexico s Universidad Iberoamericana, she began her career as an actress and model. She was cast in her first telenovela, Ángeles sin paraíso, in 1992.
From 1998 until 1999, she played the principal antagonist, Elena Ruiz, in a telenovela titled El diario de Daniela.
