About Moses Gunn

Actor who played Othello on Broadway and was a 1976 Tony Award nominee for The Poison Tree. He also starred on stage in Jean Genet s The Blacks.


He grew up in Missouri with six siblings and went on to attend Tennessee State University for college and Kansas University for graduate school.


His performance in Roots, a 1977 television miniseries, earned him an Emmy nomination.
