About Mr. Scruff

British DJ and music producer who has collaborated with artists ranging from Alice Russell to Roots Manuva. He is known for studio albums like 1999 s Keep It Unreal and 2008 s Ninja Tuna.


He worked as a shelf stocker at Kwik Save before studying Fine Art at Sheffield Hallam University. He began DJ ing in the Manchester area in 1994.


His single “Get a Move On” has been featured in commercials by Geico and France Télécom.

His real name is Andrew Carthy.
