About Nathan Fletcher

Influential professional surfer who s remained largely under the radar though his career has influenced major names like Kelly Slater. He s known for his skill as an aerialist and a big wave surfer. 


He was considered a child surfing prodigy and surfed adult-sized pipelines at the age of 12, but he stopped at age 16 due to the pressure to perform. He started again in his 20s after deciding to pursue the sport professionally. 


He s the subject of a Michael Oblowitz biopic called Heavy Water.
