About Nigel Terry

Film and classical theater actor who is widely known for his performance as King Arthur in the 1981 film Excalibur and who is also notable for his role in the 2004 film Troy as Prince Telephus.


He trained at Oxford Meadow Players, Bristol Old Vic, and the Royal Shakespeare Company while also appearing in several productions with the latter company.


He played the eponymous character in the 1986 film Caravaggio.
