About Pankaj Udhas

Indian singer known for performing in the Ghazal style. He performed in the 1986 film Naam, where his song “Chitthi Aayee Hai” became a hit and catapulted him to stardom.


He began studying classical voice while at university, and released his first Ghazal album in 1980.


In 2006, he was awarded the Padma Shri, India s fourth highest civilian award.
